I'd fished for several years before I took Mike's beginning flyfishing class.
After taking the class I was hooked on Mike's nymphing technique.
I consistently caught more fish on every trip than I had ever caught before.
I had really been using some hit and miss techniques and leaned heavily on
what other fishermen were saying the fish were taking. Now after
Mike's class I confidently fish new water and have quick success and can fish my
old holes and catch more. The friends I've met in Mike's classes to me are lifetime friends. His trips are real adventures where everyone helps each other and where we all learn new methods from each other. Whether your adventure with the class is on the Weber or Provo in the Beginning class, the Madison or the Hamms Fork in the Advanced class or the Kenaktok in Alaska, I guarantee you'll always meet great friends and find new ways to enjoy the river and the fish. I started helping on the river with Mike's beginning class in the spring of 2005 so I'm pretty new at helping in his class. What I did find though was that I got such a kick out of helping other people learn to fish and to catch fish that each day on the river I completely forgot to wet my own fly. I guess I just learned another way to enjoy my friends, the river and the fish. Al |
