Fishing has been a life long enjoyment for me. Fly fishing though always seemed
to be the ultimate form, and something that was far beyond my ability to learn.
After retiring from the Federal Government with 36 years service, I
found some extra time on my hands, and also my wife found me under foot and recommended
I take that fly fishing class I had always talked about. I soon
found myself in Mikes beginner class that was four years ago and the rest is history.
Next were a couple of advanced classes, an extreme class then the
ultimate opportunity, fishing with Mike and the gang in Alaska. My comment
to Mike was that "Alaska is an adventure of the highest order" and it is.
With all these experiences the best is working with Mikes students. The
opportunity to help them put Mike's techniques to the test and see their success
brings as much enjoyment as landing that big one. Well maybe the big
one is some what more enjoyable. Just remember you're here to have fun and
you will.
