my bio is between the lines… instead, this is about thanks to mike for making pools
of life extraordinary for lumbering working stiffs like me who suffer away under
scalding fluorescents in the corporate enviromaze of digital nothing… for
reminding us that there is a farthest northeast corner of yellowstone and that
living is that holy shit moment when your in over your waders with a fish on and
in that moment laughing with god and your friends. what is it about seeing
a bear in the wild that adds 6 years to your life? what is it about a
30 fish day and gut ache from washing down a montana burger with aftersmack that
adds 6 more? i have goose bumps right now thinking about my favorite curve
on the ruby river. eventually all things merge into one and a river
runs through it… and the exquisite beauty of that river is that it’s living water
and it’s loaded with pigs.
if i could translate the above into yupik
and sing it to mike under his window at night, i would.
