PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISERING FOR THE CLASS!!!! Due to the possibility of a law suit, the school district can no longer list the fly fishing class field work, on the river, as a part of the class. The classes however, will not change. The field work will continue as it always has. The difference is; the fees for the field work cannot be collected at Davis High. Nor can there be any mention of the river as apart of the class in the listing. However, I believe that a fishing class that doesn’t take you to the river is not a fishing class. However, the river trips will no longer be listed as a part of the fly fishing classes. Nevertheless, WE Will Teach You How To Fish At The Rivers Edge! This means the fees for the river are separate fee from the school fee. (They have always been separated for this legal reason: liability.) But now, the class only reads the, "classroom work," in the school district flyer. This listing, without mention of the river edge class time, completely absolves Davis School district of any liability in regards to any injury suffered while at the river. (Note: in the 14 years of teaching this class, to date, no injury of any kind has ever been suffered by any student while attending the fishing portion of the class.) In no way can Davis High or Davis School District be liable in any way should an injury be fall a student while they are on the river or at any time once they leave the classroom or Davis High property. The fee for the river portion is a separate fee. The fee is $60. The old cost listed was $80 for the whole fly fishing class. But now it is listed as $20 for classroom and $60 for river. (Note: it’s all legal issues in regards to liability.) The course is still $80. plus a $5 lab fee. The fee of $5. pays for hooks feathers and strike indicator that I will issue you when we tie flies in class. (Seven flies and one strike indicator for $5. It’s a good deal.) Bringing the total cost for the fly fishing class to $85. The cost of $85 is a very cheap fly fishing class! The river trips are, "At Your Own Risk." The instructors will do their very best to insure the safety of every student. Nevertheless accidents could occur at any time. Therefore, Mike Navidomskis or any, "helper," cannot be held responsible or liable for any injury or losses to the student while on the river. This must be understood before any student joins us for the fishing days on the river. Come, "AT YOUR OWN RISK!" Remember we have never had an injury thus far. But we could at any time. Also, any student under the age of 18 years must be in the company of an adult. A responsible adult must be present with all students under the age of 18 at all times, while on the river. Based on past history of the class, the class is very likely to sale out quite quickly. Therefore, I do not encourage any student to take only the classroom portion of the class. I want to reserve the limited seating for students who plan to attend at least one of the river trips. When the seats are all sold out, the class will be closed. Register early.
I agree to the terms and conditions above.
